October

October started off with Dad having a second heart attack.  He had another stent put in.  I went down and stayed at the hospital again until he was released and drove mom and dad home.  He said he didn't feel quite as good after the second stent as he did the first.  I think he was very disappointed to be back to the hospital since he felt like he was doing so good after the first stent.  He has been keeping up with his cardio rehabilitation and seems to not mind it at all.  A few days after getting back from Pittsburgh we went to Edinboro's Homecoming parade and met Amy and the kids there.  We always have such a fun time there.  The weather was pretty rainy on the way down but glad that didn't stop us because it ended up being a perfect day!!

The next day I was running a Monster Scramble 5k.  They encouraged costumes and had a lot of Halloween themed events going on.  A good run and a super fun one for the kids to watch.  Gracie did the dressing up for me!!!

Mom and Dad came up to visit on the 15-16th.  It worked out great because haunted harbor was going on in Tonawanda.  They got to see the kids dressed up and go trick or treating at all of the boats.  It was a fun night and they thought it was so neat.  Gracie had a costume to wear but decided to make her own different one before going.  This doggy was made just a few minutes before we went out the door!

We also visited Whirlpool State Park

Happy 10 Year Anniversary to us!!!  We went out to eat with the kids to a great restaurant on the Island.

We had some gorgeous days in late October!!  Gracie and I got out to Beaver Island for another picnic.  It was beautiful!!!

Here we are at Aunt Peg and Aunt Connie's.  We finally got down to visit them on the 22nd!!

The very next day after our visit to Washington we met Amy and the kids at Letchworth State Park.  We had a wonderful time.  A little chilly while we had our picnic but once you got moving it was great.  After hiking along the gorge for a little we went into the woods on a trail a park ranger recommended.  There was no one on the trail!!!  Charlie and Raymour had a good time hiking and most of the kids held up good on the hike (without knowing it we doubled our hike by doing the big loop instead of the little!)  Loved it though and will definitely do it when we go back.
