Update for March

So here are some pictures of just about the only "snow storm" we got this year.  We had a very weird March for weather.  After We all skied on the 6th the weather got really nice.  Easter couldn't have been a nicer day and then two weeks later we were playing in the snow again!!  So crazy.  We also went to the Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls.  We were literally the only people in the restaurant.  The lady sat us right beside the elephants.  Grant was loving it and this time it was Grace that was scared!  By the time we had dessert she was ok with the elephants!

Grant and Grace LOVE this tree that we hike to at Buckhorn State Park.  It always makes the hike worth it for them.  They climb and play on it like it is their personal playground.  I love this spot in the woods, such fun memories.

We also Went to Ohio and FINALLY got to visit the Law's.  As always the kids had a great time.  One day of perfect weather and one day of rain.  We took advantage of the perfect day and played outside as much as we could.  The kids took their scooters (at Cody's request) and had so much fun.  On Sunday Cody and Carly had a dress rehearsal for a dance competition they were having the following weekend.  They did amazing and were so cute!

Grace learns to Ski

Grant was doing so good we thought we could handle 2 beginners on the slopes.  Also, after Grace saw Grant learning to ski she said " I didn't know the hill would be that small, I can do that".  Jeff and I  thought why not get her on the hill too?  So Grace skied for the first time March 6th.  Jeff rented skis this time so it wasn't just me on the hill with them.  Grace wasn't as worried about really learning how to ski, she just wanted to go down the hill with me holding her back with the ski harness and rope.  She was also very excited to be doing it and skied a long time her first night out.

Grant Learns to Ski

I am quite a bit behind on posting.  Grant went skiing for the first time on February 17th!!  He did amazing!!  Gracie and Jeff came too but they just played in the snow and had lots of hot chocolate in the lodge.  Grant was so excited to be learning and had such a good attitude.  We stayed on the magic carpet hill for a lot of night but did go over to the lift and bunny hill for one run.  We were so proud of him!!!

Less then 2 weeks later Grant was back on the slopes.  Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lisa, Nate and Ryan and Aunt Jenny, Anna, and Ty were all going to Holiday Valley for a "learn to ski" night.  All the kids did so good!!!  Uncle Jeff really took Grant under his wing and did amazing with him!!  Grant listened so good and loved skiing with him.  It was so exciting to see him really "get it".  Wish we had a better winter this year so there was more time to ski.  He loves it and can't wait for next winter!
