Thanks For the Well Wishes!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the kind thoughts and words on our last posting. Lara and I are ecstatic!!! Although I am not the pregnant one (and I say with some hesitation), it seems as though things have been going quite smooth. Lara has been feeling pretty good and comments that sometimes she almost forgets that she's pregnant. Our next Dr. visit is Monday.

In other news, last weekend the Hetrick's came for a fun filled weekend and we all enjoyed the Summer? weather (pics on Aim's blog). This weekend Lara and I will be heading westward to the flatlands of Johnstown, Ohio to celebrate our nephew's birthday and finally meet Carley Marie.

In work related news, my research is quickly progressing. Today I spent the morning preparing my field sites. It is amazing what a good working relationship with an advisor can do for you!!!

Lastly, Lara and I got plane tickets to really head westward and go to Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park May 18 -25. We had free plane tickets and thought it would be great to have one last hurrah with just the two of us.

A Bun in the Oven!!!

I'm pregnant and Jeff and I couldn't be happier!!! I had an ultrasound on Monday and we got to see the baby's heartbeat! The doctor said everything looked great and that I am 9 weeks along. Arrival date set for November 18th. Other than being a little tired, I've been feeling great. Our little peanut is at the top of the picture and measures 2cm. Isn't he/she a doll!! :) :) More updates to come...

Carly Marie is Here!!!

Congratulations Jason and Heather!!! I just received the following picture from my brother of their new little bundle of joy!!! She was born this morning and weighed 10lbs 1oz and was 21.7 inches long! So I guess more like a mack truck load of joy than a little bundle! She is adorable and Lara and I cannot wait to meet her.
