Just a few favorites

He has really been enjoying his pool.  See his first tooth!?!?

Jeff picked some young veggies out of the garden for Grant to play with.  You wouldn't believe how long they entertained him!!  

This is the face he makes when his teeth are hurting.  He sticks his tongue out and says aaaaahhhhhh. So cute yet so sad!! :(

Times sure do fly!!

So here is a fun comparison.  The first shot is of Grant as a newborn and Luke is 8 months old.  Last Sunday we went to Jeff and Lisa's to visit Ryan and Nate.  Ryan sure is a content little guy.  Here is why I think time flies so much.  Grant is now the 8 month old and Ryan is the new BABY of the family. 

We had a great visit Jeff and Lisa!  It was great to see Nate, Ryan, and the HOUSE.  Looking Good!!!!

Grant is on the go!!  The days of me putting him on the floor with a basket of toys and him being content is already long gone.  He is now crawling towards the door to get shoes and trying to reach for things on the steps.  I can't believe how fast it all goes!!

A Day in the Life of Grant

First I start out the day with some cheerios.

Then I play with my pets.

Rock out the Mohawk for the afternoon.

Remind me again why this camera is still in my face?!?!

Spend some time in the pool...

and a little time adoring daddy.

Then some time to myself to reflect on the great day.

4th Fest

This years 4th of July celebration was full of fun once again but we did miss Jeff, Lisa and Nate.  I guess we'll let it slide since you were birthing little Ryan!!  It all started in the morning with the firecracker 4k.  There were six of us running this year:  Emma, Anna, Ella, Jenny, Jeff and me!  I had a blast running with the girls and they did great!!  A big congrats goes to Jenny as she finished 2nd in her age group.  I love how it has become a part of our 4th of July tradition.  After that it was off to our house to celebrate and then to fireworks.  Here are some pics from throughout the day.

Grandma gave Grant his first real textured food.  She gave him a veggie straw and he took right to it.  We now have a stock of puffs and cheerios that he is enjoying.  Just had to share this picture of him!! Thank you Aunt Amy for letting us borrow the hat!!!

After all the fun and festivities at our house it was off to see the big show.  Everyone was pretty excited except the two youngest.

All the kids did great and weren't afraid of the fireworks.  We really thought they might scare Grant but he just slept right through them!

Ryan Michael

On July 2 Jeff and Lisa welcomed their second boy, Ryan Michael, into the family.  He is such a cute newborn!

and a proud Aunt Lara getting to hold a 7lb 11oz baby again (same as Grant!).

Congrats Jeff, Lisa, and Nate!  So happy we got to meet the little guy.  He is adorable.

A few weekends ago Jeff and I went to my friends picnic where Grant got to meet his friend Kooper for the first time.  They were adorable together and Thank You Kooper for sharing your toys!!  Grant loved them.
