Haircut

Well, I'll start with a few pics of Gracie just cause she's cute.

And here is brother and sister.  Today Grant got a much needed haircut.  These pictures can serve as his "before" shots.

And here's the After.

And why not some "during".  Grant was great getting his haircut.  He was very patient and would look whichever way the hairdresser needed him to.  She mentioned to him that he must be a big boy because only big boys let her use the clippers on them.  I think he was proud that someone thought he was a big boy because he mentioned it later.

Just to mention a few of the things that Grant does on a daily basis.  He sings, "All aboard the choo choo train" over and over and over.  When he wants to know what something is he says,"what's this about?"  He uses the word yesterday to mean anything earlier in time.  For instance, when we get in the door from shopping he will say,"we went shopping yesterday."  He seems to be getting afraid of the dark and often says,"it's not scary" referring to anywhere dark.  I am not sure if he is trying to convince himself or us.  He always wants the upstairs lights on so that when he looks upstairs it isn't dark.  He loves his Thomas PEZ dispenser (seen in the last photo) and is always asking, "where's my candy dispenser?"  When he goes to bed at night he always requests that Lara and I sing the same four songs:  Thomas (Thomas Tank Engine Theme Song), Twinkle (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star), Sunshine (You are my Sunshine) and Silent Night.

Sick, Sick, Sick

Unfortunately all 4 of us have been sick over the course of the past 2 weeks.  Grant and I were the first to get the bug and are pretty much all healthy now.  Lara and Grace got sick a bit later and are still fighting it but getting better by the day.  Here are some of my favorite pics from our sick 2 weeks.

Aside from her cold, Gracie is doing great.  She is sleeping good, eating good, and is quite alert.

A sick Gracie

Since Grant has been sick he has spent a little more time than usual in front of the tv.

He is still such a great big brother.

Here he is giving Grace her beddy (made by Aunt Jenny) for the first time.  After giving it to her he went and got his beddy and exclaimed,"I love it, I love it, I love MY beddy."  He definitely does love his beddy which was also made by Aunt Jenny.

Here he is with a couple of his buddies.  And yes, we are aware that our boy needs a haircut.

This is our first family "hike".  Not much of a hike as we barely made it off of the blacktop but fun nonetheless.

Lastly, just a few pics of Gracie and me.  In the one you get a much better idea of her size.

Full Week Home!

Here are a few pics from around our house this past week.  Grant is really loving his little sister and always wants to kiss her.  Gracie is eating great and putting on weight.  Grant got a little sick this week and just couldn't sleep last night.  He kept saying, "Daddy, turn up the heat....it's sooooo cold!"  Eventually I went upstairs and laid in bed with him.  Today he is feeling much better and went straight to bed on his own.  Gracie got spoiled and slept in bed with us her first few nights home from the hospital but last night spent the night in her crib.  She is a pretty good sleeper and often sleeps 3 or 4 hours straight at night.

Bath Time...of course big brother wanted to help.

Here is a cute one of Grant playing trains with Grace.

Lara and I haven't been the only ones excited to take pictures of our little girl.

Unfortunately he outgrew our little Sony Cybershot pretty quick.

We also had more excitement at our house this week because it was Lara's Birthday!
