The first weekend in January we took care of Grant's class pet, Carl.
Gracie took an art class on Saturdays at the Grand Island Nike base. While she was doing art, the rest of us hiked.
On that first Sunday, Grace went to a friend's (Claire's) birthday party at the botanical gardens so Lara, Grant and I kept right on hiking, this time at Buffalo's Outer Harbor.
Once the kids went back to school, Lara and I spent a day hiking the Niagara Gorge trail. We pretty much hiked the length of it and saw lots of beautiful views along the way.
Grace continued her ice-skating lessons and Grant started tennis lessons.
We finally went skiing on January 15th!
We did get quite a bit of snow at home too and spent some time playing around our house. Gracie had tons of fun skating on the natural skating rink in the backyard.
Our road on the night of the biggest storm of the season!
Lara and I out for a hike at Beaver Island while the kids were at school.
Grace's Birthday!!!
We started off the day with a special pancake.
After school Grace opened her presents from us.
The last weekend in January was supposed to be Gracie's birthday party at the skate rink but the weather was too bad and we had to delay it until February. With our plans canceled, we decided to make have a special trip to Build-A-Bear (our first ever) for her birthday...and Brownie was born!
