February fun

Gracie and I visited the zoo recently.  It seems about everytime we go, there is at least one animal that is extremely entertaining.  This visit it was Luna, the polar bear.  She was being so playful!

 Grace wasn't so sure about being right up against the glass with her back turned! 

We all went to the botanical gardens this month too.  Jeff has taken his students there before but it was a first for the kids and I.  Grant loved doing the scavenger hunt they had for guests to do!

Grace found a lemon!!!!

The rest are just some pics of our everyday happenings.  Playing and going on hike's with Grace while Grant is at school and daddy is working.  This girl LOVES her cat!!!  She cuddles Lily probably 50 percent of her day and Lily loves it.

Happy Birthday Gracie!!!

On January 24 we celebrated our little girl turning 4.  It is hard to believe that 4 yrs have past since she was born (Grace's Hospital Post).  She has spent the vast majority of those 4 yrs smiling.  She is pretty much always happy and tries to make sure everyone else is too.  I am amazed at how much she continues to learn.  She can write her name and is starting to write other things.  She knows her letters and is working on the sounds that they make.  She can count to 20.  She likes playing video games with her big brother and likes to play dress-up and dance.  When I just asked her what to write here she said, "kittys, unicorns and bunnies are my favorite animals."  We continue to enjoy every minute with our precious little girl.

The party was a great success with nice clear roads for travel!  It was great to have a house full of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

As always, Lara did a fantastic job with the cake and decorations.
