Next stop was to Aunt Peg's to celebrate with her, Connie, and Jackie.
Grant serenaded us on the way. I cannot tell you how many times we heard this on the trip.
Then it was on to Cook Forest. Grant was so excited that a big snow storm came through while we were there. He has been waiting for snow all season and all we had gotten in Chicago was a dusting.
We made sure to get outside and build a snowman. He was cold about the time we got outside and so we opted to make a little snowman. He was having trouble building the snowman with his mittens and so they came off before this pic.
We also made sure to do some sledding. After Grant being cold building the snowman, I didn't have high hopes for sledding. He surprised me though and had a blast, never complaining about the cold. Gracie enjoyed the sleds too.
It was a first Christmas for 2 little girls in the family. Gracie didn't seem like a baby anymore next to Jenna.
Oh, maybe she did!
The last leg of our journey was a visit to the Hetricks, where Amy organized a last-minute birthday party for Grace. Amy, thanks so much for hosting and planning Gracie's party. It was great that she was able to celebrate with so much of her family.
