A bit late on this post but I thought it was still worth putting it up. We had a great Easter. Lara, the kids, and I celebrated by ourselves this year in Naperville. Grant was torn about that. Early on in the day he said he missed his cousins and wanted to be with them. Later in the day he mentioned that he was happy it was just us. Lara and I definitely missed being with family but did have a great day.
Here are some pics of coloring eggs a few days before Easter.
Gracie posing for the camera!
Here's our finished product. As we were coloring them Grant wanted to eat them all. We did let him eat a few. For the record "his egg" is the bright blue one in the corner, which is quite a surprise because he often says his favorite colors are yellow and orange.
For Easter, we got the kids a bunch of play food for a play kitchen that we recently acquired. After opening it up, we were going through the foods naming what they were. The funniest thing was that when we got to the french fries Grant said,"I know, a sea anemone." Gracie also got her first bike helmet so that we could all go riding this spring.
Lara made a complete Easter dinner with a ham and all the fixin's. Before dinner we decided to enjoy the beautiful day and have an Easter egg hunt outside. Grant was so sweet with Grace and kept giving her all the eggs he was finding. Eventually I had to tell him that he could keep some more for himself.
