November

This year was a tough animal year.  June was when we lost Raymour and November is when we lost Lily.  She was 17 years old.  She wasn't eating well and we noticed she had lost weight.  We took her to the vet to run blood work and it showed she had a very elevated white blood count.  That could mean 2 things:  Cancer, or a bad infection.  We gave her anitibiotics and were going to recheck her blood work in a week.  Unfortunately we didn't have that much time.  I was syringe feeding her and giving her SQ fluids to help.  She just got weaker and we didn't want to see her suffer.  We miss you Lily!

Emma was in her High School musical this year:  Shrek!!

Just some good ones of the kids

This was the first time we ever saw a buck in the back field.  We barely see any deer so it was pretty exciting to see this guy!

I hosted Thanksgiving for the first time!  Jim, Jason, Heather and the kids all came.  I didn't get any pictures but we had a great meal.  Jeff helped with the stuffing, gravy, and cranberry sauce.  Everyone stayed the day and went home at night to celebrate the next day with Heather's family.

This year Grant didn't want a birthday party.  He just wanted Grama, Papa, and Papa Jim to come up to celebrate.  He requested KFC and an Oreo ice cream cake he has been eyeing up for awhile at the grocery store.  We had a great day celebrating!

On his actual birthday he wanted to go bowling.   Can't believe you are already 8 Grant!
 We Love You!!!

October

In October we went to Ohio and Washington to make one big trip.  We went apple picking and the kids had a great time just being together.  We had a great visit in Washington too.  We met Lilyanna for the first time!  She is a doll.  Unfortunately we didn't get any photos!!

Edinboro Homecoming 2017
This year the whole family signed up for the Kilted Mile.  It runs right before the parade.  Jeff ran with Grant and I ran with Grace.  I was so proud of Grace for doing it.

Once the parade was over, we headed home to get back for Haunted Harbor in Tonawanda.

Grandma turns 70!
We had a surprise birthday party for Grandma at the pavilion down in the forest.

Halloween!

September 5th, 2017 was the first day of school.  Kindergarten and 2nd grade, here we come!!

September 16th was the Hospice Dash.  Grant did an amazing job running his first ever 5K!!  I couldn't believe he didn't walk once.  That was all his decision once the race started.  I was so proud of how well he did.  Great accomplishment Grant!!
