Towards the end of the school year Sidway does an art show where all kindergarten and 1st graders get a piece of art work put in the art show.  Here is Grant's work from 1st grade.  It also got chosen to be put in the art show at the high school!!!

We made a trip to Pittsburgh to see Jenny run a Marathon!  Beth was also running the half so we got to cheer for her too!  Another great race from Jenny!!  Her best time yet 3:10:14!!  We had dinner at Olive Garden with them the night before and then just by luck Jed ended up in the same parking lot as us and parked right beside us!!  It was crazy.  What a fun day.  

Grant had his 1st grade field trip to the zoo.  I wasn't able to go but a parent sent me a pick of him with his best friend Wyatt.  

Jeff ran the Kelly Tough race on the 19th.  It was a 12K in Orchard Park.   It started and finished around the Bills stadium.  Pre and post race was in the Bills training center.  The kids had a blast running on the field.  Jeff had a great race too!

Grant's 1st grade Patriotic show was on the 24th.  Papa Jim came up for the show.  Afterwards we went out for ice cream!!

February, March, and April

In February we had a very warm patch and we got Grace starting to learn to ride her bike.  Then we had lots of ski trips, and a visit from Jason and Heather.

February

We spent Valentines day on the slopes!!  It was the first night the kids ever went off the bunny hill!!  They did great and loved it. Perfect night :)

This is at Kissing Bridge.  Grace and I met up with Erin and her son (her husband works at Daemen) for an afternoon of skiing.  New place, new adventures.  Their bunny hill is pretty beginner so a few hours in I upgraded our ticket and Grace went off a bunny hill for the first time ever, anywhere!! (2/10/2017)  We made a few runs and she was ready to call it a day.  She did amazing, I was so proud of her!!!  

Back at Holiday Valley with some Cousins! Everyone had a great night and loved it.  

The Law's came to visit us over President's day weekend.  Grant really wanted to bowl and it was so fun.  We did the falls, and went to Anchor Bar for wings!

March

We did two play dates with Jenna.  One in the beginning and then one at the end of the month!  The girls are just crazy about each other!  We got a couple more ski trips in, went to the theater to see Peter Rabbit with the Buffalo Philharmonics and saw Alivia in her play (Beauty and the Beast). 

April

Time to get the bikes out again!  Grant got a bigger bike so Grace moved up to his old bike.  We took a trip to Canada to see the falls from the other side.  We also drove along the river and made it to the quaint town of Niagara on the Lake.  We walked around and had lunch and then headed for home.  We celebrated Easter in Cook Forest for the 2nd year in a row (but different location).  The kids always love the egg hunt in the woods.  Last year we were at some picnic tables along river road and we had just gotten Raymour.  This was his second year doing Easter in the woods with us! 

This is the art museum at Niagara University.  We took flat Stanley there for Luke and the kids seemed to enjoy it.
