Happy Easter!

I can't believe it has been so long since we last posted!  Things here have been busy the past month.  I am finishing up my Ph.D. and searching for jobs and Lara is back to work part-time at the animal hospital.  We had a great time coloring eggs today.  Here are some of the best pics.

Grant enjoyed coloring eggs but all he really wanted to do was eat them...so we did.

Gracie loved the egg that Mommy made for her.  Our little girl seems to smile all the time.  She has been sleeping through the night for quite awhile and always wants to be held during the day.

After coloring eggs we finished off our afternoon having a fire and playing in the yard.

Law Visit

Gracie got to meet Uncle Jason, Aunt Heather, Cody, and Carly this past week.  We were also surprised that Papa Jim made the trip.  Grant loved getting to see everyone.  He really admires Cody and tries to imitate everything that he does.  It's adorable.  Thanks so much for stopping in to see us.  We loved getting to see you all.

Here Grant is busting up at Cody reading.  He was so excited that Cody could read.

And...a few pics of Gracie smiling.  She smiles all the time now.

Sofia Turns 3

The highlight of the past few weeks was Sofia's 3rd (Dora-themed) birthday party.  Grant really enjoyed himself and didn't want to come home.  We almost missed the party because on the way there Grant was fussy and then said his belly hurt.  He ended up vomiting (for the first time ever) in the van.  We didn't want to infect everyone at the party but he bounced back and seemed fine.  On the way home he started feeling sick again and said,"Mommy make me feel better" in the saddest little voice that you've ever heard.  He didn't get sick again but certainly wasn't feeling good.  Hopefully he was still just a touch sick from having a cold the previous week and his car sickness doesn't continue to be the norm.  Here are a few pics from the party.  Happy Birthday Soph!!!

Great party Aim!  Everything was perfect!

Here are just a few pics of the day-to-day at the Law house.  We'll start with Grace.  Although not yet captured on camera, Grace is really starting to smile.

We realize from these pics that Grant certainly is a baby no more.

He cracks us up every day and is the happiest little boy.  His newest thing is to run into a room and yell, "Ding, Ding, Dong".  I have no idea why he does it but he thinks it's hilarious and it kinda is.  He still loves Gracie like there is no tomorrow.  Tonight he put on Lara's headlamp and ran all over the house with the lights off.  Here are a few pics.

And lastly we should at least get a couple of our 4-legged kids on here.  Yes, there are 2 in this pic!  Last night before Copper went to bed I noticed that he went up to Grace's crib and reached as high as he could to sniff her toes and make sure she was in there.  After checking for her he laid down right beside the crib.

Haircut

Well, I'll start with a few pics of Gracie just cause she's cute.

And here is brother and sister.  Today Grant got a much needed haircut.  These pictures can serve as his "before" shots.

And here's the After.

And why not some "during".  Grant was great getting his haircut.  He was very patient and would look whichever way the hairdresser needed him to.  She mentioned to him that he must be a big boy because only big boys let her use the clippers on them.  I think he was proud that someone thought he was a big boy because he mentioned it later.

Just to mention a few of the things that Grant does on a daily basis.  He sings, "All aboard the choo choo train" over and over and over.  When he wants to know what something is he says,"what's this about?"  He uses the word yesterday to mean anything earlier in time.  For instance, when we get in the door from shopping he will say,"we went shopping yesterday."  He seems to be getting afraid of the dark and often says,"it's not scary" referring to anywhere dark.  I am not sure if he is trying to convince himself or us.  He always wants the upstairs lights on so that when he looks upstairs it isn't dark.  He loves his Thomas PEZ dispenser (seen in the last photo) and is always asking, "where's my candy dispenser?"  When he goes to bed at night he always requests that Lara and I sing the same four songs:  Thomas (Thomas Tank Engine Theme Song), Twinkle (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star), Sunshine (You are my Sunshine) and Silent Night.
